| Since the first
oil platform was deployed off the coast of Terrebonne
Parish in 1947, the number of rigs off the Louisiana
coast has swelled to more than 3,700. These structures
today comprise what is essentially the world's largest
manmade reef. Schools of several different species of
fish gather in the offshore waters of Louisiana in the
Gulf of Mexico at these man-made reefs of oil rigs.

And the fishing here is spectacular, whether it's speckled trout, snapper, amberjack, grouper, lemonfish, or redfish you are targeting. "There's really no limit to what you can catch at these offshore platforms," Pique said. "This is some of the best fishing anywhere in the world."

Rig fishing is extremely popular among Pique's
clients because it offers guests so much action, and
there are always surprises.
